55 degree climbing ability

This unmatched climbing ability is the result of the combination of the unique drive system and the hydraulic winch. The Spider mower may move in any direction, while the engine always stays orientated in the ideal direction for perfect lubrication. The winch easily winch pulls the mower even on such steep slopes where the wheels would normally be slipping. At the same the winch secures the mower against rolling over so you can operate the mower at high speed without any risk.

Automatic operation

The winch is parallelly connected to the hydraulic circuit of the mower and its operation is thus synchronized with the wheel drive. After you turn the winch on you can normally operate the mower, while the winch automatically winds or unwinds. This makes the winch use amazingly simple.

Safety

As the mower is constantly hanging on the rope, it is as safe as it can be. The winch helps to stabilize the mower and prevents it from rolling over. The winch can be used even on less steep slopes if the grass it too wet or if the operator feels more comfortable using it. Spider mowers with the winch represent one of the safest methods of mowing on slopes.

Environmental friendliness

As the winch relives a lot of stress from the wheels, it helps to protect the grass and minimizes turf damage even on steep, wet or sandy slopes. Spider mowers are generally very gentle to the turf, especially in comparison with skid steered and/or track driven mowers.
